BLACKWIND MALAYSIA :

BLACKWIND arose from the dust in Malaysia in the year 2006.

BLACKWIND is a 4x4 TEAM run by an enthusiastic, friendly group of Pajero owners specialising exclusively in Pajero L049 products.

We started off working on repairs and modifications of our own Pajeros, and on to requests from other Pajero owners to carry out work on their vehicles. The requests just kept on coming and that’s when we decided to take BLACKWIND full-swing!

BLACKWIND Malaysia was all systems go right from the beginning, and we’re stirring up a storm with every passing day!

A big thank you to one and all for lending your support to BLACKWIND!

Tracking the origins of Malay Muslims

[News in The STAR 18 April 2011, Metro 9]

A GROUP of self-financed outdoor enthusiasts will be venturing across seven countries in the region using their four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicles in an effort to track the origin of the Malay Muslims throughout South-East Asia.

Under the Jejak Warisan Jawi 2 (JWJ2) expedition organised by theMajma Budaya dan Warisan Jawi, 40 of its members will be visiting Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, China and Myanmar in 20 days beginning May 25.

They will travel in 10 4WDs owned by the Blackwind 4x4 Adventure Team.

The 40 members comprising entrepreneurs, academicians, religious authorities, engineers and university students, are also cultural performers.

They will be sharing their knowledge with the people of the countries they visit.

“During the expedition, the crew will be showing off the Malay performing arts such as silat, kompang, marhaban, berzanji and nazam,” JWJ2 adviser Saiful Anwar Yahya told a press conference.

Saiful said they would also be giving humanitarian aid in cash and kind to the poor and less fortunate Muslims especially orphans and single mothers as a show of sympathy by the Malaysians.

He said they would be acting as mini tourism ambassadors to promote Malaysia as a safe haven and attractive country to be visited.

“Tourism Malaysia has agreed to contribute brochures for us to distribute at the places that we visit,” said Saiful.

Those who wish to contribute to the less fortunate in the countries mentioned can contact JWJ2 director, Zaid Muhammad at 019 220 2327 or log on to www.jwjonline.com for more information.
